ABOUT ME
When I was just a little kid, I played instruments, created artwork, and recorded music videos & movie scenes with my friends and family just for fun.
I didn't realize it back then but creative expression has been rooted in me as a person
since the very beginning.
Around 2018, I started pursuing my creative work more as a business rather than just a hobby, and taught myself how to film/edit videos and do graphic design for clientele, under my business name, Sicat Visuals.
In 2019, I founded my clothing brand, Creatives Apparel, and published my website,
"Visions On the Rise", which I later rebranded to Creatives Marketplace in 2021.
As of now, playing the guitar, piano, and drums remains as a hobby of mine :)
Why I made the "Visions On the Rise" platform?
(now Creatives Marketplace)
During my freshman year at San Jose State University, I wanted to find creatives that I could feature on my clothing brand's documentary series. During my search, I realized that there wasn't really a platform that could directly aid in my exploration process. I felt like there should've been a practical directory for the specific kind of people I was looking for, but there wasn't.
Since a useful website for my purposes didn't exist,
I decided to create it myself.
I knew there had to be other people going through that same obstacle as me, so creating this meant I could provide everyone with a resource we don't have yet.
A resource that's easy, direct, and benefits every side of the story.
